The routing transit number (or routing number) assigned to a US financial organization by the American Bankers Association.

ISO 13616-1:2007 specifies the elements of an international bank account number (IBAN). The official registrar is the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication. In 2008, most banks in Europe provide an IBAN identifier. Banks in the US are expected to join the scheme in the coming years.
